Cubs want you to design 100th-anniversary logo for Wrigley

Wrigley Field is turning 100 and needs your help. (US Presswire)

Via action-news press release, the Cubs on Wednesday announced that they'll be holding a contest in which the collective you are allowed to design a logo commemorating the 100th anniversary of Wrigley Field, which will be celebrated throughout the 2014 season.

The high stakes? Let the Cubs themselves tell you ...

The winning designer and a guest will receive a flight and accommodations in Chicago (if applicable) to be honored during a logo unveiling event before a late-summer home game at Wrigley Field. The winner will receive two tickets to the game, as well as a personalized 2014 jersey.

The Cubs have set up a page where you, if so moved, can download templates, take a whack at it and submit your entry. Deadline for submissions is Feb. 28, 2013.

Predicted ratio of sarcastic to earnest submissions -- 12:1.
